as is illustrated in the picture, a man is standing on the top of the highest hill and looking far into the distance.
if you want to be a man who can see farther than others, you have to stand on the shoulders of giants. there is no doubt that you will be surrounded and blinded by mountains if you stand at the foot of the hill. when you look up at the sky, the only sight you can see is a small region of sky just like a frog in a well. only by jumping out of the well can the frog see the wider world and expand its horizon.
let's take scientific research as an example. the researchers are not supposed to limit themselves to the relevant handy materials. on the contrary, it is crucial for scientific researchers to break the routine and collect as much information as possible. a large quantities of scientific materials that have been researched by scientists before can be treated as the basis of current research. if we want to make more progress in current scientific research, we must base on the previous research achievement.
the more knowledge you master in your mind, the greater achievement you will make in the future. put it another way, the higher you stand, the further you will see.
